The private limited company EuroWheelz B.V. located in Houten (“EuroWheelz”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data. In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we process, on which legal grounds, and for which purposes.

individuals whose personal data we process in the context of our services; individuals who visit the website www.eurowheelz.eu / www.eurowheelz.nl; individuals who receive a newsletter from us; contact persons of (business) customers or suppliers; individuals who book a tour with our E-choppers through EuroWheelz and/or rent an E-chopper from us; individuals who book a test ride; individuals who use our service; individuals who create an account on one of our websites; individuals who contact us by email, phone, or through the contact form on our websites; individuals whose personal data we process otherwise.
What terms are used in this privacy statement?
In this privacy statement, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

processing/processed any action related to personal data, such as storage, collection, organization, editing, use, consultation, and deletion;

What personal data do we process from you for rental purposes?
The personal data we process from you are:
Personal data provided by you to us: contact details (including name, first name, gender, (email) address, delivery and/or billing address, phone number); identity card number; company information; data for our services (including registration, license plate registration, data we need for the (rental) of our E-choppers at our consignment partners, issuing points, and the managers of our E-choppers); data that you provide to us when visiting our website and/or webshop; financial data (including bank account number); other data required for compliance with applicable laws or regulations. Personal data obtained from other sources: company information; data from the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce; data from the reviews left on Google or social media channels. other data required for compliance with applicable laws or regulations. Personal data that provide insight into the use of our website and/or webshop (including which device you use to visit our website, device ID, location data, computer and connection data, IP address)
On which legal grounds of the GDPR and for which purposes do we process your personal data?
EuroWheelz processes your personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
when necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take pre-contractual steps at your request; when necessary to comply with a legal obligation; when necessary to protect our legitimate interests or those of a third party; when you have given consent.

Who do we share your personal data with?
EuroWheelz may share your personal data with:
suppliers (including software suppliers, accountants, hosting suppliers); affiliated legal entities, including Spyder Wheelz BV; our consignment partners in the context of (rental of) E-choppers; other parties such as government agencies, courts and regulators.
EuroWheelz does not disclose your personal data to others than the aforementioned third parties, unless this is necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned in this privacy statement, when EuroWheelz is legally obliged to do so or when you have explicitly given us consent. The third parties to whom we disclose the personal data are obliged to keep your personal data confidential and adequately secure it. If these parties are designated as ‘processors’ within the meaning of the GDPR, we conclude processing agreements with these third parties.
Transfer of personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
EuroWheelz processes your personal data primarily within the EEA. If personal data is transferred to a country outside the EEA, EuroWheelz ensures appropriate safeguards to guarantee that the transfer takes place in accordance with the GDPR.
Third-party websites
Our website contains links to our social media channels. EuroWheelz is not responsible for third-party websites and the way in which third parties handle your personal data.
Security
EuroWheelz has taken appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing, and against loss, destruction, damage, alteration or disclosure. If you have any questions about the security of your personal data or if you suspect misuse, please contact us. Our contact details are listed at the bottom of this statement.
How long do we keep your personal data?
EuroWheelz does not retain your personal data in an identifiable form for any longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this privacy statement. Specifically, EuroWheelz adheres to the following retention periods:
Data relating to the agreement concluded with you
We anonymize your data that we process in our reservation system no later than 7 years after our relationship has ended. We assume that our relationship has ended when you have not made any new bookings with us for the following 7 years or when an agreement between you and EuroWheelz has been terminated by either party.
Financial data
We keep our financial records for 10 years. This means that all your data and documents relating to financial transactions between you and EuroWheelz will be kept for 10 years after your booking.
Data recorded during contact moments
Recorded phone calls and WhatsApp conversations will be deleted within 3 months. We keep email messages sent to you or received by us and complaints submitted by you for a maximum of 10 years.
Reviews
We keep your reviews posted on our websites for a maximum of 2 years after the review has been posted.
After the (legal) retention period, your personal data will be destroyed. (Legal) retention periods are subject to change.
The above does not apply in the event that we are legally obliged to retain certain personal data for a longer period of time.
Privacy rights
You have the following rights with regard to the processing of your personal data by us:
the right to access the personal data we process about you; the right to have your personal data corrected or amended if it is inaccurate or incomplete; the right to object to the processing of your personal data if you have a legitimate reason to do so; the right to limit the processing of your personal data in some cases; the right to request that your personal data be transferred to a third party (‘the right to data portability’); the right to have your personal data erased (‘the right to be forgotten’); the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data if the processing is based on your consent. This includes the right to unsubscribe from our newsletter or emails. Withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data prior to the withdrawal.

We will inform you within one month of receiving your request whether we can comply with the request. This period may be extended by two months in exceptional cases, for example if your requests are extensive. We will inform you of such an extension within one month of receiving your request.
It may be that we cannot or may not fully comply with your request(s). If we reject your request (in part), we will explain why.
To prevent us from providing information to the wrong person, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity. Never send a copy of your identity document to us unsolicited.
