1

Where can I pick up the E-chopper?

You can pick up the E-chopper at the front desk or at the bike rental of the rental location. They will have the E-chopper ready with charged battery. If it is a different location then this is mentioned in your booking confirmation, when the booking is made online. The E-chopper must also be returned there, unless otherwise agreed with the location.

2

Will I be sent fun routes?

At each rental location through the reservation system, EuroWheelz has created two fun bike node E-chopper routes with different distances. In your confirmation email is a link to these routes. Download the free Fietsknoop App on your mobile for this, so you have the GPS function and can follow the route. Do you book an E-chopper through the location? Then you can also ask there about the routes in the area.

3

What is the “Smile Guarantee” that I can add?

The renter is responsible for inflicting damage at all times. But with our smile guarantee, we cover accidentally caused damage to the E-Chopper. Abuse is obviously not covered. In addition, you can change the date and time of your E-Chopper ride before the start of your booking, whether due to unforeseen circumstances or when the weather is not cooperative. EuroWheelz, the coolest rides with a smile!

4

Can I take someone on the back?

Yes you can. Children aged 8 to 15 can ride on the back, even with a helmet on. There is a maximum of 130 kg on the E-chopper. Please note that the battery’s range decreases with more weight on it.

5

Will I get a refund if I return the E-chopper early?

No, you can’t, since the E-chopper is reserved by time slot and thus held for you until the end time.

6

Can I also return the E-chopper to a location other than the location where I rented?

Unfortunately, this is not possible because inventory is tracked by location.

7

Can I also return the E-chopper to a location other than the location where I rented?

Unfortunately, this is not possible because inventory is tracked by location.

8

Can I still cancel if I have already reserved and paid?

No unfortunately not. There is no refund possible. This is clearly stated in advance in the booking screen and also in the confirmation. However, there may be exceptions to some certain incidents. So make sure you include the smile guarantee because then you can always reschedule your reservation at no cost! At the venue, you can ask if you can move the booking to another time. Reduction of the number of persons or quantity of the rented accommodation is considered as partial cancellation. This is therefore subject to the cancellation rules. These cancellation rules can also be found in the general terms and conditions when booking.

9

What should I do if I think I won’t make the finish time?

Then you can make another reservation at www.eurowheelz.nl for an additional time slot connected to your end time. If that is not possible, you will still need to return to the rental location (on time). Always call the rental location to inform them of the situation. The reception desk may close at a certain time. If a booking does get squeezed because of the late return, there may be an extra charge: €50.00 per hour per E-chopper. This is important to compensate for the booking that starts after.

10

Can I get an extra battery or battery charger?

An additional battery is not possible. The battery is large and heavy and extra batteries are not always in stock. However, as a guest of the rental location and with the approval of the rental location, the battery charger may be brought along for interim charging.

1

Can I carry a bag on the E-chopper?

A backpack is easiest of all! And otherwise you can put a bag between your legs on the footboard.

2

Is the E-chopper insured?

Yes, it is WA insured, but the WA does not cover damage and theft. It is therefore advisable to take out a damage-theft waiver of €3.50 per E-chopper with your booking, to reduce the excess. For motor insurance click here

3

Can I charge the battery on the go?

No this is not possible if you do not have the original matching battery charger with you. Possibly you can stop by another E-chopper rental location of ours (see map of rental locations on the website). Since they have our battery chargers there, you can only charge the battery there in consultation with the front desk.

4

Where can I drive the E-chopper?

The E-chopper has a blue license plate, you may follow the bike lanes in every municipality except Amsterdam and Utrecht. Do pay attention to the signs: At certain nature reserves or in inner cities of places you are sometimes not allowed to ride the E-chopper. This is indicated by traffic signs. It sometimes happens that there is a pedestrian area in the center of villages. If you drive through this area, the traffic fine is for the driver of the E-chopper.

5

How old do you have to be to ride an E-chopper?

From 16 years of age in the Netherlands, and you must hold a (scooter, moped) driver’s license. You may take a child from 8 to 12 years old (for free) on the back seat. Under 8 years, a child seat is officially required.

6

How many kilometers can I drive with the E-chopper without recharging in between?

An adult can drive 40-50 kilometers on a full battery. Always check that you get a full battery. You can see this in the display by the Voltage; you should then see 64-66 V. The range does decrease somewhat with more weight on the E-chopper (e.g. with a child on the back) and depends on driving behavior and environment. You can only charge the E-chopper at the start/end point. Definitely DO NOT charge at general charging points along the way at coffee or lunch stops!!! In winter, so with cold, the range is also a lot less. Keep to a maximum of 35 km!

I caused damage, now what?

Hopefully you have then the Smile guarantee booked :-), because without it, the tenant is liable for damage and or theft. As well as all other damage, however caused, to the rented vehicle, regardless of whether this is the fault of the renter or third parties. Damage must be reported to the rental location or directly to EuroWheelz. If you have booked the smile guarantee, nothing will happen. If not, the damage will be made up and charged to your reservation. You can pay this directly via the payment link sent to you by the location or EuroWheelz. EuroWheelz will be informed by the rental location. Download the European damage form here : You can use this form if you have caused damage to third parties and it is important for your insurance.

What should I do if I suddenly stop on the road and the E-chopper stops working?

If the E-chopper suddenly stops working, the battery connector may have vibrated loose while driving. You can disconnect the battery, wait a minute and reconnect it. The E-chopper can now drive again. If the battery still seems empty, try the same as described above. Try very carefully turning the throttle a little; be careful NOT to turn it to full! Then you can drive back slowly, max 5 km per hour. If this does not help and you still come to a standstill, you will have to call the rental location or call EuroWheelz at the number on this website. N.B. Should the renter have driven too many km and end up with an empty battery, which will have to be picked up by the rental location/ANWB, an amount of €100,- will be charged by the rental location.
